About Us: Community Connections of Clearfield and Jefferson Counties

Community Connections of Clearfield and Jefferson Counties was established in July 1969 to ensure that residents of Clearfield and Jefferson counties have access to essential services. As a government office, our purpose is to support individuals with mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and early intervention needs, regardless of their or their family's ability to pay.

Since 2009, our organization has undergone significant transformation. We embarked on a strategic planning process that led to a new name, a revised mission, and a new location in DuBois. Our new name, Community Connections of Clearfield and Jefferson Counties, reflects our commitment to linking people with the resources they need to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

We no longer provide most services directly but instead work with a network of local agencies through contractual partnerships. This allows us to offer a wide range of high-quality services to our community. Many of these services are funded through the state's Medical Assistance Program, while others may be covered by private health insurance. We also provide services to individuals free of charge or on a sliding scale based on their ability to pay, ensuring that a lack of financial resources is never a barrier to receiving help.
